About the position

Under general supervision, this position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The role also involves helping to place existing team members within appropriate projects and managing relationships between non-local HR Management and local teams. The recruiter will be responsible for all phases of the recruitment process, ensuring that the organization attracts the best talent while maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations. The recruiter will collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. They will identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. This includes assisting with job posting and advertising processes, screening applications, and selecting qualified candidates. The recruiter will also schedule interviews, oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring materials, and assist with the interview process by attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. In addition, the recruiter will collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. They will suggest movement of existing team members to current open positions based on their qualifications and availability. The recruiter will conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications, hold onboarding sessions for new team members, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies. They will also attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions, serving as the local SC representative for the HR department, and answering day-to-day questions and requests from local SC teams, escalating to HR management at the company HQ when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertising processes.

  • Holds team members onboarding sessions, finalizing all documentation, and verifying knowledge of relevant SWJ systems and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.

  • Answers day-to-day questions and requests from local SC teams, escalating to HR management at the company HQ when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience.
  • Able to structure and motivate work without strict oversight.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
