About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is responsible for managing the recruitment strategy for the West Region. This role involves developing recruitment methodologies, building candidate pipelines, and ensuring effective diversity talent acquisition strategies are in place. The specialist will provide guidance to hiring managers and maintain accurate documentation throughout the recruiting process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a recruitment strategy and methodology including planning, sourcing, qualifying, assessing, closing, and engaging candidates.
  • Build an expansive pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Provide a high level of service throughout the entire recruiting life-cycle and ensure diversity talent acquisition strategies are in place.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting challenges, trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives.
  • Pre-screen applicants by reviewing resumes and conducting phone interviews.
  • Inform and guide hiring managers regarding staffing issues, policies, and processes.
  • Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers with hiring and employment data.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on candidates, searches, and recruiting activities for EEO purposes.
  • Proactively keep hiring managers and HR team informed of all recruiting activity and conduct regular follow-ups.
  • Track, analyze, and leverage key talent metrics and sustain recruiting activity reports.
  • Utilize excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills in a busy recruiting environment.
  • Handle special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years' full life-cycle, high volume recruitment experience with an agency or in-house required.
  • Manufacturing and Distribution recruitment experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Taleo preferred.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing diversity recruitment strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment-based websites, social media, and sourcing tools required.
  • Well-organized, dependable, and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize and maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive, approachable, and able to work effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
