About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Gordon Food Service plays a crucial role in managing the full cycle recruitment process for various operational functions, including sales, warehouse, and transportation. This position emphasizes building strong relationships with hiring managers, guiding them through the recruitment process, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. The role also involves collaborating with the marketing team to develop effective sourcing strategies and participating in special projects focused on training, development, and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process for sales, warehouse, and transportation functions.
  • Counsel hiring managers on candidates and recommend solutions to applicant flow issues.
  • Work with the marketing team to determine sourcing options and develop marketing strategies.
  • Participate in action teams focusing on training, development, compliance, diversity, and communications.
  • Screen candidates, set up interviews, and advise on offer parameters.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) in accordance with department procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare offer letters and conduct new hire administration processes.
  • Manage recruitment metrics including time-to-fill and quality of hire.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of staffing experience with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
