The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath) plays a crucial role in leading the recruitment efforts for the organization, particularly focusing on human services roles that require bilingual skills. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, which includes sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various human services positions. The specialist will collaborate closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements, ensuring a consistent and efficient hiring process across the organization. Additionally, the specialist will actively source organic candidates to build a strong, diverse, and qualified talent pool, while also managing and tracking recruitment-related expenses and assessing the effectiveness of recruiting tools. The position also involves participation in EMPath's retention and well-being committees, as well as other Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), to inform HR policies and benefits offerings. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will contribute to the creation and implementation of engagement events for all staff and provide backup support for the Director of HR and Payroll. Success in this role requires a deep knowledge of recruitment processes and sourcing techniques, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for human services roles requiring bilingual skills.
  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Actively source organic candidates to build a strong, diverse, and qualified talent pool.
  • Manage and track recruitment-related expenses and assess the effectiveness of recruiting tools.
  • Participate in EMPath retention and well-being committees and other Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of engagement events for all staff.
  • Provide backup support for the Director of HR and Payroll.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole.
  • Associate Professional in Human Resources certification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, aPHR) is a plus.
  • Previous recruitment agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
