About the position

Southern Land Company is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding. This role involves developing strong relationships with internal teams, creating job descriptions, attracting candidates through various channels, and maintaining accurate documentation in the applicant tracking system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal team members.
  • Create and maintain updated job descriptions, job postings, and interview materials.
  • Attract candidates through various methods including social media and job fairs.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to maintain accurate candidate documentation.
  • Proactively source candidates for open and pending roles.
  • Conduct phone screens and schedule interviews.
  • Coordinate candidate travel and conduct reference checks.
  • Manage the pre-employment process including drug screens and background checks.
  • Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates regarding their status.
  • Track and report on key metrics for open roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
