About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at St. Joseph's Villa plays a crucial role in sourcing, identifying, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, and involves collaborating with leadership to enhance the company's image as an employer of choice while supporting its growth needs through effective talent strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with internal services and offices to determine recruitment needs.
  • Determining selection criteria, hiring profiles, and job requirements for vacant positions.
  • Sourcing potential candidates through online company career portals, recruitment sites, job boards, social platforms, as well as print media, posters, and flyers, when required.
  • Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position's requirements.
  • Experience in developing and delivering recruitment strategies and processes to improve outcomes (decreased time to fill, increased quality of hire, etc.).
  • Experience as a change agent, comfortable with ambiguity, in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements.
  • Drive all major recruiting initiatives across the organization. Manage the recruitment process and life cycle, including initial assessments, interviews, and offers.
  • Identify future talent needs by proactively recruiting and sourcing.
  • Participate in employment events, such as career fairs.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of latest market trends to ensure that St. Joseph's Villa is a best in class organization.
  • Meet with hiring managers to have full scale understanding of hiring needs and available positions within the Villa.
  • Help ensure on-boarding efforts are supported for all new hires, ensuring transition from engaged candidate to engaged and contributing employee with necessary paperwork accurately completed.
  • Manage ongoing communication strategies internally to drive program adoption, help facilitate hiring manager recruitment ownership and participation, and provide training and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or applicable course of study (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of recruiting/related recruiting experience.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Experience in human services and/or non-profit environment (preferred).
  • Valid Virginia driver's license and excellent driving record.
