About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining recruitment strategies to meet the staffing needs of the organization. This role involves sourcing candidates through various channels, coordinating with hiring managers, and managing the recruitment process from initial contact to job offer. The specialist will also maintain accurate records and demonstrate the agency's mission and values in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain recruitment strategies for targeted markets.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Source applicants through various channels including online, community events, job fairs, and collegiate partnerships.
  • Create and maintain interview scorecards that reflect the requirements of each position.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork.
  • Effectively manage personal work schedule to ensure uninterrupted agency operations.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations with all members of the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all recruitment activities.
  • Perform online recruiting and sourcing, maintaining an accurate list of position openings on ATS and websites.
  • Attend job fairs to inform potential employees about the agency and distribute recruiting materials.
  • Process resumes and perform initial interviews of potential candidates.
  • Schedule interviews with hiring managers and complete job offers, confirming start dates.
  • Update agency dashboards weekly to include recruiting activities and participate in HR calls to report on hiring and openings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resources preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Workday Applicant Tracking System.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional credential such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
