About the position

M&J Engineering is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from identifying talent needs to recruiting qualified candidates. This role involves collaborating with HR and hiring managers to forecast staffing needs, develop talent acquisition strategies, and enhance the candidate experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies to meet talent acquisition goals.
  • Proactively source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidates' skills, experience, and fit with the organization.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams, preparing hiring managers with interview guides and feedback tools.
  • Build relationships with candidates and maintain an engaging experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Write clear and compelling job descriptions and post them on appropriate job boards, career sites, and social media platforms.
  • Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate compensation packages in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
  • Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rate, providing regular updates on recruitment progress.
  • Promote the company's brand and values through recruitment marketing, ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Ensure all hiring practices comply with relevant labor laws and company policies, maintaining accurate candidate records.
  • Propose creative and effective ideas for finding the best talent and implement efficient recruiting methods and strategies.
  • Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings and partner with HR to ensure proper onboarding and training of new hires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Human Resources.
  • Strong understanding of the Architectural and Engineering (A/E) industry with an established A/E network.
  • Experience recruiting in a rapid growth organization.
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, variable environment.
  • Data-driven mentality and strong analytic skills to generate metrics that evaluate effectiveness and identify insights for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships with internal teams, external partners, and candidates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), HR databases, and external recruiting platforms.
