About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Preston Feather Building Centers plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team by facilitating the recruitment process and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies. This on-site position requires collaboration with HR leadership and may involve travel to various locations in Northern Michigan. Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
• Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies, including job fairs and community events.
• Schedule interviews and oversee preparation of interview questions and hiring materials.
• Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and directors.
• Create written job advertisements and social media collateral to promote employer branding.
• Publish various internal publications and employee communication outputs.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
• 3 or more years of solid talent acquisition/recruiting experience.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and leave management.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and safety practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification with HRCI and/or SHRM is strongly desired.
• Experience with Paycor or similar HRMS platforms.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed for Employers.
