The Talent Acquisition Specialist position at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is a vital role within the Human Resources department, reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others and are eager to contribute to the mental health community. Meridian Behavioral Health has been a cornerstone in the mental health sector since the 1960s, expanding its services across 13 counties in North Central Florida. The organization employs a multidisciplinary approach to support individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in screening applicants through the HRIS system and external job boards, ensuring that their qualifications align with the required standards. This involves conducting phone interviews and coordinating skills assessments and candidate interviews. You will also be responsible for adhering to the recruiting process to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, collecting and properly recording all required application documents, and assisting in the maintenance of the DATIS HRIS System to meet OFCCP standards. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of company recruiting metrics, engage in regular discussions with Hiring Managers to review applicant flow and quality, and develop advertising for recruiting needs across various platforms. Your role will also include maintaining open and closed job files in compliance with OFCCP standards, providing a positive customer service approach within the HR department and with external stakeholders, and attending job fairs and community events to promote the organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least two years of proven work experience as a Recruiter, and a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record. Responsibilities

  • Screen applicants in the HRIS system and external job boards through online data review and phone interviews.
  • Coordinate and schedule skills assessments and candidate interviews.
  • Adhere to the recruiting process to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Collect and properly complete all required application documents and record them accurately.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the DATIS HRIS System to meet OFCCP standards.
  • Prepare and present company recruiting metrics and engage in discussions with Hiring Managers regarding applicant flow and quality.
  • Develop advertising for recruiting needs including internet postings and social media updates.
  • Organize and maintain all open and closed job files in compliance with OFCCP standards.
  • Maintain a positive customer service approach within the HR department and with external stakeholders.
  • Attend job fairs, community events, and other outside functions as set by the Director of Recruiting.
  • Administer skills assessments, background screenings, and schedule applicant appointments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business or Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management or similar degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year proven work experience as a Recruiter or closely related field with transferable skills.
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system and social media is preferred.
  • Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
