About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ventura Foods is responsible for managing the entire recruitment process to meet the company's staffing needs. This role involves overseeing full-cycle recruitment, ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified candidates, and coordinating pre-employment screenings. The specialist will also analyze staffing trends and make recommendations for future hiring needs, while maintaining organized data for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Review employment applications and examine qualifications of applicants.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for new employees.
  • Recruit for open positions using various channels including job boards and social media.
  • Converse with hiring managers to determine job skill requirements and establish candidate profiles.
  • Develop knowledge of business units' needs for future openings.
  • Track staffing metrics and maintain organized data for reporting.
  • Maintain records of hires, terminations, and pre-employment test results.
  • Identify talent pools and leverage community relationships to enhance employer branding.
  • Interview applicants and inform them of job duties and company policies.
  • Support new hire orientation for a smooth onboarding process.
  • Analyze staffing trends to suggest areas for headcount adjustments.
  • Perform other activities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in high-volume recruitment, managing 20+ positions simultaneously.
  • Comprehensive full-cycle recruitment experience.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • 2-3 years experience in the Manufacturing or Food Manufacturing Industry preferred.
  • 2-3 years of recruitment and/or staffing experience in a professional environment preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves
