About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at the Chinese American Service League (CASL) plays a vital role in sourcing and recruiting talent to support community-focused initiatives. This position is responsible for attracting and retaining individuals who align with CASL's mission of inclusivity, empowerment, and collaboration. The specialist will ensure a seamless candidate experience while partnering with hiring managers to meet staffing needs across various roles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing candidates for a variety of roles, focusing initially on frontline/entry-level positions.
  • Participate in full-cycle recruitment processes, from sourcing and screening to interview coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager on sourcing strategies for higher-level roles as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates and community talent sources to support ongoing recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure a positive and human-centric candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Represent CASL's values and culture in all candidate interactions.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of interviews for both frontline and leadership roles.
  • Assist in managing workflows within the ATS (Lever), ensuring candidate data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team, including maintaining organized records and report generation.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of recruitment metrics and assist with background checks.
  • Provide flexible support across the talent acquisition function, adapting to evolving priorities and organizational changes.
  • Assist with recruitment events, outreach efforts, and other talent acquisition initiatives as required.
  • Assist in developing insights and strategies to enhance the recruitment process based on data and feedback.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field with three to four years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) with one to two years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination.
  • Strong experience or interest in sourcing for entry-level and frontline positions, with the potential to support leadership recruitment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, preferred.
  • Experience with reporting metrics and data analysis to track and optimize recruitment efforts.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems (Lever experience is a plus).
  • A collaborative, customer-service mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable attitude and willingness to grow with the role.
