About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at RedSail Technologies plays a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the organization's long-term goals. This position encompasses the entire hiring process, from creating and posting job descriptions to interviewing candidates and assisting with their onboarding. The specialist will also provide guidance to managers and employees regarding human resources policies and procedures while promoting the company's brand through recruitment events. The role requires leading talent acquisition initiatives and managing processes and tools designed to attract, assess, and hire the best candidates. Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing effective recruiting methods tailored to the organization's needs and industry standards. The specialist will collaborate with department managers to draft accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria, screen applications, and select qualified candidates. They will schedule interviews, prepare interview questions, and assist in the interview process, including conducting interviews alongside managers when necessary. Additionally, the specialist will negotiate compensation with prospective employees, create offer letters, and facilitate the onboarding of new hires. Reporting on recruiting metrics and maintaining a pipeline of candidates for high-volume roles are also essential tasks to reduce recruitment time-to-fill. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with leadership to develop internal promotion strategies and collaborate with third-party agencies to fill identified roles. They will manage relationships with these agencies and ensure that appropriate documentation and contracts are in place by working closely with operations leadership, HR, and legal teams. The role also involves identifying and establishing relationships with organizations for recruitment purposes and participating in job fairs and recruiting sessions. Furthermore, the specialist will create policy and process documentation, training aids, and templates, lead interview training, and collaborate with the broader HR team on various initiatives and projects. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring selection.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers when needed.
  • Negotiate compensation with prospective employees, create offer letters, and onboard new hires.
  • Serve as backup for new hire onboarding.
  • Report on recruiting metrics.
  • Maintain a pipeline of candidates for key high-volume roles within the organization to reduce recruitment time-to-fill.
  • Partner with key leadership to develop and implement an internal promotion/recruiting strategy.
  • Partner with third-party agencies and vendors to fill identified roles when needed.
  • Manage relationships and foster a secondary resource pipeline.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and contracts are in place by partnering with operations leadership, HR, and legal.
  • Identify and establish relationships with organizations to recruit from.
  • Attend and participate in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Create policy/process/program documentation, training aids, and templates.
  • Create and lead interview training.
  • Partner with the broader HR team on other initiatives and projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • Business acumen and ability to analyze data and information and use it in decision making.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of employment labor laws and regulations, business sensitivities, and confidentiality.
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective negotiation, conflict management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to act with diplomacy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and other office equipment.
