About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. plays a crucial role in the recruitment process, focusing on sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates who align with the specific needs of the organization. This position is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day recruiting processes, which includes conducting phone screens with qualified candidates and coordinating further interviews. The Specialist will also handle various administrative tasks such as collecting references, maintaining file records, and managing data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). The role requires a proactive approach to ensure a smooth candidate flow and a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. In this position, the Specialist will be expected to maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, and interactions with hiring managers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both recruiters and candidates is essential to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the recruitment process. The Specialist will also need to demonstrate the ability to evaluate candidates accurately, particularly for professional-level positions in Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace engineering disciplines. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the Specialist to adapt to changes in strategy and procedures while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are vital for success in this role. The Specialist will be expected to work under deadlines and contribute positively to a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day recruiting processes.
  • Screen and pre-qualify applicant resumes.
  • Select appropriate applicants for each specific position to move forward in the interview process.
  • Conduct phone screens with qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate additional interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, and hiring managers' interactions in the ATS.
  • Maintain good relationships with recruiters and candidates.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of recruiting work experience, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace engineering disciplines.
  • Exceptional telephone skills, including appropriate business phone etiquette and a clear, distinct voice.
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience with ATS software, job listing sites, social media, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize without compromising quality of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a high volume, dynamic environment subject to change in strategy and procedure.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, time management, and analytical skills.
