About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at St. Claire HealthCare is responsible for identifying, attracting, evaluating, and selecting top talent for employment while maintaining effective retention programs. This role requires a deep understanding of the labor market and recruitment tools, as well as the organization's operations and strategic plan.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all pre/post-employment administrative functions are completed accurately and timely, in compliance with regulations.
  • Communicates regularly with hiring managers to develop strong partnerships and advise on recruitment issues and trends.
  • Creates and fosters relationships with educational institutions and professional organizations to attract and recruit candidates.
  • Ensures candidates referred to hiring managers possess high qualifications and follows up on interview outcomes.
  • Extends and negotiates employment and salary offers using established hiring practices.
  • Maintains application tracking software, ensuring postings are accurate and up to date.
  • Identifies and represents the organization at recruitment venues to maximize visibility and increase applicant pools.
  • Creates employment advertisements that summarize position duties and qualifications accurately.
  • Develops relationships with external recruitment resources to ensure high-quality referrals.
  • Collaborates on plans to address recruitment and retention issues.
  • Keeps informed of the latest recruitment trends and issues in health care.
  • Assists with additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of recruiting experience required, preferably in health care.
  • Experience using recruitment HRIS systems preferred.
  • General experience in internet-based recruitment or social media is required.
  • SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential required within 24 months of hire.
