About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Thomas Allen Inc. is responsible for managing the recruitment process from talent acquisition to onboarding. This role supports hiring managers, provides candidates with updates, and ensures a smooth recruiting process. The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain a detailed understanding of job requirements and the talent market, while also promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform talent acquisition-related administrative work and support hiring managers.
  • Provide candidates with status updates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Approve requisitions before posting and perform minimum qualification screenings.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and talent acquisition colleagues to ensure smooth process handoffs.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of jobs and associated requirements across the organization.
  • Assist in drafting DEI-focused job postings and advertisements.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment activities.
  • Support the development of high-impact interview questions to ensure unbiased hiring.
  • Manage the background check process and provide backup support for hiring managers and HR colleagues.
  • Participate in staff development and ongoing skills training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time recruiting/talent acquisition experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and UKG (Ultipro/Kronos).
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data literacy and translating HR metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Risk management and assessment skills.
