About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Smith Crossing is responsible for identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent for the organization. This role involves developing effective recruitment strategies, enhancing the employment brand, and fostering positive relationships with candidates and employees. The specialist will work closely with internal teams and hiring managers to meet staffing needs and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Determine current staffing needs and produce forecasts by working closely with internal teams and hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts.
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.
  • Lead employment branding initiatives.
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls, etc.).
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience.
  • Manage advertising.
  • Assist in employee retention and development.
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers, or other events.
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of recruitment experience.
  • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization as well as partnerships throughout the community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract talent using a variety of sourcing tools and methods to secure lasting and successful placements.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Must be creative, resourceful, and innovative.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a Long-term or healthcare setting preferred.
