About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) at Johnson Thermal Systems plays a crucial role in attracting and hiring top talent to meet the company's organizational needs. This position involves establishing best practices for recruitment, providing a high level of customer service, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires. The TAS will work closely with hiring managers and utilize various recruitment strategies to enhance the company's market reputation and fulfill staffing requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support JTS and Human Resources with providing a customer-first, team-centric experience for all stakeholders.
  • Provide full life cycle recruiting for administrative and manufacturing positions of all levels.
  • Assist in the creation of job descriptions and post jobs in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to develop recruitment plans and strategies.
  • Utilize social media platforms to enhance JTS market reputation and attract passive talent.
  • Evaluate qualifications of potential candidates against position requirements and job descriptions.
  • Schedule candidate interviews and provide supporting documents for all interviews.
  • Ensure the administration of background checks, reference verifications, and drug tests for job applicants are completed.
  • Learn company benefits and timekeeping processes to present to prospective and current employees.
  • Assist with follow-up to ensure all new hires complete pre-employment paperwork and benefit enrollment.
  • Ensure all records and documents are collected and stored appropriately at the end of the recruitment cycle.
  • Track recruitment and turnover data, including cost per hire and time to fill.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and EEO guidelines throughout the recruitment process.
  • Attend job fairs, career forums, and HR networking events.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and recruitment tools.
  • Assist with various HR initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 3+ years' experience in talent acquisition or full cycle recruitment (required)
  • Understanding of general HR policies, practices, benefits, and timekeeping.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate candidates based on job requirements and cultural fit.
  • Proficiency working within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), JazzHR preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable labor laws, regulations, and EEO guidelines.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to think beyond the task at hand.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Reliable attendance and respectful work ethic.
