About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at JX Truck Center is responsible for executing a structured recruitment process for various positions across Illinois and Indiana. This role emphasizes efficiency, reliability, and adherence to high standards in hiring practices. The specialist will collaborate with hiring managers, maintain compliance with affirmative action, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Hiring Manager to ensure the most qualified candidates are hired.
  • Maintain compliance with Affirmative Action and legal hiring practices.
  • Keep accurate data in the Applicant Tracking System for reliable record-keeping.
  • Utilize the JX employment brand to promote a steady applicant flow.
  • Make initial candidate contact to establish relationships and interest in opportunities.
  • Schedule and gather feedback for onsite interviews to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Participate in campus recruitment efforts and support ongoing education initiatives.
  • Coach managers in hiring decisions and promote continuous learning.
  • Source passive and active candidates through various methods.
  • Identify advertising opportunities to reach potential candidates.
  • Post requisitions and modify job descriptions as needed.
  • Qualify resumes, phone screen candidates, and make timely recommendations.
  • Consult on offer details and present offers to candidates promptly.
  • Identify organizations to help improve diversity and inclusion goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases.
  • Proficient in using Google Applications.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
