About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) plays a crucial role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs. This position is essential for ensuring a proactive approach to recruitment, which is vital for maintaining a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The TAS will manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, which includes conducting phone and onsite interviews with qualified candidates. The role requires building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates for future job openings, utilizing various recruiting sites and social media platforms to attract potential hires. In addition to sourcing candidates, the TAS will maintain regular communication with candidates to provide updates and feedback, ensuring they feel valued and informed throughout the recruitment process. Collaborating closely with hiring managers is another key aspect of this role, as the TAS will need to understand their staffing needs and job specifications to create meaningful job descriptions. The specialist will also provide guidance and support to hiring managers during the selection process, coordinating and scheduling interviews for hiring managers and their interview teams. The TAS will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized candidate records and documentation, tracking and reporting recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Participation in job fairs, career events, and networking activities is also expected to attract potential candidates. Acting as a liaison with local high school youth apprenticeship programs, colleges, employment agencies, and industry associations is crucial for building relationships that can lead to successful hires. The role also involves organizing and participating in recruiting events and facility tours, extending job offers, and ensuring the completion of pre-employment procedures.
