About the position

HNI Corporation is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Muscatine, Iowa. This role is hybrid eligible, requiring the selected candidate to be onsite in Muscatine as needed to support business operations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the hiring process by supporting and facilitating the application and hiring process for job candidates. This includes screening and interviewing candidates, coordinating onsite or virtual interviews, and managing selection debriefs to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process. In this position, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will utilize various platforms such as the internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed to proactively source talent for the organization. A key focus will be on ensuring a positive candidate experience, characterized by friendly, helpful, and respectful treatment of all applicants. The Specialist will also coordinate with hiring managers and the Member & Community Relations teams to ensure consistent and efficient candidate evaluation and hiring decisions. Additionally, the role involves managing talent acquisition branding, which includes creating externally facing job postings and partnering with brand marketing on social media marketing campaigns and other branding initiatives to support hiring needs and events. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also attend external and community recruitment events as needed to bolster hiring efforts and participate in activities that contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate the application and hiring process for job candidates, including screening and interviewing candidates.

  • Attend external/community recruitment events as needed to support hiring needs.
  • Participate in activities to ensure the success of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in full-cycle recruitment preferred.
