About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) at the Hospital for Special Care plays a crucial role in supporting the full cycle recruiting processes for various positions within the organization. This includes everything from initial outreach to onboarding, encompassing tasks such as sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, recruitment marketing, pipeline management, and making job offers. The TAS is expected to provide clear and consistent communication with business partners and hiring managers, establishing timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes to ensure a smooth hiring process. The position requires a proactive approach to understanding the needs of the organization and the specific qualifications desired for each vacant position. In addition to managing job postings and communications, the TAS collaborates closely with department and hiring managers to effectively advertise, source, recruit, and hire hospital personnel. This involves reviewing all internal and external applications and resumes to ensure candidates meet the necessary qualifications for the positions. The TAS is responsible for screening candidates via phone and coordinating on-site interviews, ensuring a thorough and efficient selection process. The role also includes establishing and maintaining contacts with community outreach organizations, participating in career days, open houses, and engaging in other recruitment activities to attract, screen, and interview qualified candidates. The TAS must consistently communicate the status of operations and any relevant issues to the Manager of HR, ensuring transparency and collaboration throughout the recruitment process. This position is vital in creating an environment of care and engagement, contributing to the hospital's reputation as a desirable place to work and ensuring exceptional care for each patient every day.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full cycle recruiting processes from initial outreach through onboarding.
  • Provide clear communication with business partners and hiring managers regarding timelines and expected outcomes.
  • Manage internal and external job postings and communications.
  • Collaborate with department and hiring managers to advertise, source, recruit, and hire hospital personnel.
  • Review all internal and external applications and resumes to ensure candidates meet qualifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management, or equivalent experience of 5+ years in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of full cycle recruiting experience including sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, and recruitment marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using systems and tools that support sourcing and applicant tracking systems.
  • Understanding of HR processes and talent acquisition trends.
