About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) is responsible for managing the full cycle of recruiting in-house. This includes job posting management, candidate sourcing, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires. The role requires proactive collaboration with hiring leaders to meet specific hiring needs and ensure a cultural fit within teams. The specialist will also maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to enhance their experience and anticipate future talent needs.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the assessment of all resumes submitted for specific hiring roles.
  • Reviewing resumes for requirements and conducting phone interviews.
  • Delivering resumes and phone screen notes to hiring leaders for further steps.
  • Administering assessments for specific roles as required.
  • Drafting new hire paperwork and coordinating with the team to send out offer letters.
  • Identifying and using creative sourcing techniques to locate candidates.
  • Networking at events to attract passive candidates.
  • Supporting recruiting through campus relations and partnerships.
  • Partnering closely with hiring leaders to provide updates on open roles.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of UWM's brand and ensuring candidates are a culture and technical fit.
  • Building relationships with candidates to enhance the hiring experience.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of recruiting experience (either 3rd party or Corporate Recruiting).
  • Ability to discern information from candidate interviews and make confident hiring decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong adaptability to changes as needed.
  • Familiarity with CMS software, candidate assessments, and behavioral/skill-based interviews.
