About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at WellSpace Health plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's recruitment efforts. This position involves conducting screenings, reference checks, and maintaining employee records, while also performing various human resources-related duties as directed. The specialist will work closely with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for open positions, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent to fulfill its mission of providing comprehensive healthcare services to underserved communities.

Responsibilities

  • Source applicants through various methods including job board advertising, job site search, networking, referrals, etc.
  • Initiate background checks including employee eligibility verifications, lab slips, and IT PANS.
  • Perform data entry for new hires and timecard corrections.
  • Manage job requisitions and job descriptions.
  • Assist in all communication with candidates.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assist with welcome orientation including setting up, getting food, and clean up.
  • Enter documentation in the employee electronic files.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Think strategically and execute proactively with a sense of urgency to fill current needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • AA/BA in related field preferred, or a minimum of a high school diploma and one year of human resources experience required.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong command of written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of the organization's overall business and its objectives.
  • Ability to perform in a cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
  • Adherence to infection control procedures, including standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking, and social distancing.
  • Proficient in using computers with related knowledge of software programs and the Internet.
  • A valid California driver's license with an insurable driving record.
