About the position

An exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist position is available at Tessco Technologies in Reno, Nevada! The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet an organization's workforce needs. They will manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. They will collaborate with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, use job boards and social media for talent sourcing, and ensure a smooth hiring process. Additionally, they play a critical role in employer branding, maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS), and support organizational growth through effective hiring practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Utilize job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals to source high-quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with marketing and HR teams to enhance employer brand presence and attract top talent.
  • Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate a smooth interview process.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in the ATS to track candidate progress.
  • Negotiate job offers and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Stay updated on industry hiring trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques (LinkedIn, Boolean search, social media).
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software. ADP experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and hiring regulations.
