About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist position at Olgoonik Corporation is a temporary role based out of either the Anchorage, AK, or Fairfax, VA office, featuring a hybrid work schedule. This position plays a crucial role in supporting recruitment activities for various project and department positions across the central, west, and east coasts, as well as internationally. The Specialist will collaborate with HR regional teams to enhance recruitment efforts and ensure a streamlined hiring process. The role is integral to the Olgoonik corporate offices, focusing on sourcing and engaging both active and passive candidates to meet the organization's staffing needs. In this position, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing candidates through various methods, including networking, cold calling, and complex internet searches. The Specialist will also engage with candidates, connecting them to current job opportunities and executing recruitment strategies that promote a diverse candidate pool. Marketing open positions through the company's career page, job boards, and social media platforms is essential to filling vacancies effectively. The Specialist will develop extensive candidate pipelines to address current and future hiring needs, responding to candidate inquiries and maintaining communication throughout the recruitment and employment offer processes. Additionally, the Specialist will develop job descriptions in collaboration with managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), ensuring compliance with applicable regulations such as AAP, OFCCP, and EEO. The role also involves supporting HRBPs in organizing team-building events for the Fairfax office, contributing to a positive workplace culture. Overall, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a vital role in enhancing the recruitment function and providing optimal HR support to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Source passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches, and research.
  • Source active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals.
  • Engage with active and passive talent and connect them to current job opportunities, executing recruitment strategies that produce a diverse slate of candidates.
  • Evaluate applicants and submit qualified candidates for hiring manager review.
  • Market open positions via the company's career page, job boards, and social media platforms as needed to fill vacancies.
  • Develop extensive pipeline candidate pools to fill current and potential needs.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries and communicate with candidates/new hires throughout recruitment and employment offer processes.
  • Develop job descriptions with FLSA analysis and maintain company job descriptions in collaboration with managers and HRBPs.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to ensure the recruiting function is compliant with all applicable regulations: AAP, OFCCP, EEO, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR team members in execution of talent acquisition strategies and provide backup for other HR staff members.
  • Support the HRBP/Supervisor in organizing team-building events for the Fairfax office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • 3 years of recruiting experience.
  • 1 year of experience sourcing/recruiting cleared openings (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience recruiting personnel in technology or security fields is preferred, including recruitment of Warehouse & Logistic, Commercial Construction, Environmental & Engineering, and Security Technicians with federal government contracting experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain long-term candidate relationships.
  • Proficiency in social media recruitment methods, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recruiting for federal government contracting positions.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations related to recruitment.
