About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at The Arc Central Chesapeake Region is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of entry-level positions, including Technicians and Specialists. This role involves identifying, attracting, and sourcing candidates while acting as a liaison for hiring managers. The specialist will manage hiring processes from temporary staffing agencies and support recruitment events, ensuring alignment with the organization's values and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment and hiring processes for entry-level positions.
  • Identify, attract, and source candidates for assigned divisions/departments.
  • Act as a liaison for hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Schedule and conduct screening interviews, taking detailed notes.
  • Manage hiring from temporary staffing agencies, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support hiring fairs, job fairs, and other professional recruitment events as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of recruitment experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a high-energy team player.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
