About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in the recruitment process, focusing on sourcing, screening, and onboarding professionals in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field. This position requires a strong background in recruitment, particularly in identifying top talent through innovative sourcing methods, including headhunting. The specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for various positions, including Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The role involves collaborating closely with hiring managers and clinical teams to understand staffing needs and ensure a timely and effective hiring process. In addition to managing job postings and conducting interviews, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will actively engage with high-potential candidates through direct outreach and networking within the ABA community. The specialist will utilize various channels, such as job boards, social media, and networking events, to identify candidates who align with the company's mission and values. Ensuring a positive candidate experience is paramount, and the specialist will maintain clear communication, provide feedback, and guide candidates throughout the recruitment process. The onboarding process for new hires will also fall under the specialist's responsibilities, ensuring that all documentation and training requirements are met for ABA compliance. Promoting the organization as an employer of choice within the ABA community is another key aspect of this role, which includes participating in job fairs and online recruitment platforms. Compliance with relevant employment laws and industry standards, as well as maintaining accurate records of candidate interactions using the applicant tracking system (ATS), are essential duties of the position. Regular reporting on recruitment progress and challenges to management will also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for ABA positions, including job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Actively identify and engage with high-potential candidates through headhunting techniques, including direct outreach and networking.
  • Utilize various channels to identify and engage potential candidates who align with the company's mission and values.
  • Work closely with hiring managers, clinical teams, and HR to understand staffing needs and ensure timely and effective hiring processes.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication, providing feedback, and guiding candidates through the recruitment process.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings, assess candidate qualifications, and schedule interviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation and training requirements are met for ABA compliance.
  • Promote the organization as an employer of choice within the ABA community by participating in job fairs and networking events.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry-specific standards, including HIPAA.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities using the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other HR tools.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment progress, challenges, and successes to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably within the healthcare or ABA field.
  • Strong understanding of the ABA field and its unique staffing needs.
  • Expertise in headhunting and direct sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
