About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at BGIS is responsible for recruiting top talent for various roles within the organization. This position involves building a talent network, addressing compliance issues, sourcing and interviewing candidates, and maintaining effective relationships with hiring managers. The specialist will also focus on continuous improvement in recruitment processes and contribute to the overall talent management strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Build a talent network within business-specific practitioner communities.
  • Address legal and compliance issues related to talent acquisitions.
  • Select and directly source, interview, qualify, negotiate offers, and hire candidates to fill open requisitions.
  • Proactively network and establish effective working relationships.
  • Pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting.
  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment, including social and professional networking sites.
  • Maintain a constant focus on the marketplace and report market intelligence.
  • Ensure candidate decision triggers are clearly understood during the offer stage.
  • Drive solutions to recruiting problems with resourcefulness and persistence.
  • Demonstrate a strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Enhance candidate site(s) continuously.
  • Screen, interview, and manage active candidates.
  • Communicate BGIS employment value proposition effectively.
  • Track candidate workflows, source data, and pre-screen information.
  • Create Boolean and other complex search strings for recruitment.
  • Streamline processes individually and collaboratively for measurable results.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Manage additional HR projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5 years corporate progressive talent management experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio) required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Heavily networked and knowledgeable of leading search practices required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion required.
  • Some knowledge of multi-state and federal laws/regulations related to employment preferred.
  • 2-3 years of HVAC recruiting experience required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated trades experience (electricians, HVAC, refrigeration, critical environment - data centers/commissioning, etc.).
  • Military/Veteran recruiting experience is a plus.
