About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Gordon Food Service is responsible for recruiting top-quality candidates for various positions within the organization. This role involves managing the entire recruitment process, from screening and interviewing candidates to evaluating their skills and making offers. The specialist will collaborate closely with hiring managers to ensure effective recruitment strategies and maintain compliance with applicant tracking systems and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process for a functional area, collaborating with hiring managers on new and replacement requisitions.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure compliance with company policies and government requirements.
  • Prepare offer letters and present offers to candidates as needed.
  • Utilize process metrics and KPIs to manage workload, including Time to Fill and Quality of Hire.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics such as position control lists and turnover reporting.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to drive applications and utilize sourcing platforms to find passive candidates.
  • Create interview guides and evaluation tools for hiring teams.
  • Conduct applicant screening interviews to gather work history, education, and job skills.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews and debriefs with interview teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 or more years of recruiting, customer service, or sales experience, or 5 or more years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Demonstrated business acumen in recruiting or sales.
  • Knowledge of behavioral-based interviewing techniques.
  • SPHR or PHR Certification is desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Suite and applicant tracking software.
  • Familiarity with video conference hardware and software.
