About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) at the Hospital for Special Care plays a crucial role in supporting the full cycle recruiting processes for various positions within the organization. This includes everything from initial outreach to onboarding, encompassing tasks such as sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, recruitment marketing, pipeline management, and making offers. The TAS is expected to provide clear communication with business partners and hiring managers, establishing timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes to ensure a smooth hiring process. The position is integral to creating an environment of care and engagement, which is a core value of the hospital, making it one of the most desirable places to work while providing exceptional care to each patient every day. In this role, the TAS will consult with organizational leaders to understand the specific requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for vacant positions. They will manage both internal and external job postings and communications, collaborating with department and hiring managers to effectively advertise, source, recruit, and hire hospital personnel. The TAS will review all applications and resumes to ensure candidates meet the qualifications for the positions, screen candidates via phone, and coordinate on-site interviews. Additionally, the TAS will establish and maintain contacts with community outreach organizations, participate in career days and open houses, and engage in other recruitment activities to attract, screen, and interview qualified candidates in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position also requires a high level of independent judgment and the ability to function effectively during potentially stressful periods. The TAS must be adaptable, demonstrating quick decision-making skills on issues that have significant organizational impact. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves expressing complex ideas, negotiating, and actively listening to multiple parties.
