About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead recruitment efforts for The UEP Group, focusing on attracting top talent for technical and executive roles. This position requires a strategic and personable professional who can assess core value alignment and collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to streamline onboarding processes. The role is essential for supporting the organization's growth through proactive workforce planning and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber talent.
  • Source, attract, and screen qualified candidates, ensuring a consistent pipeline of top talent.
  • Generate leads for potential candidates through job boards, the company website, cold calling, and other creative sourcing methods.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future personnel needs, providing guidance on job descriptions, interview processes, and candidate assessments.
  • Gauge candidates' cultural and core value fit through thoughtful screening and interviews.
  • Work alongside HR and Payroll to facilitate smooth onboarding, offer letter development, and payroll coordination.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to plan and schedule follow-up interviews, ensuring an efficient and engaging candidate experience.
  • Strategize employment terms and packages that align with market trends and company goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry associations, educational institutions, and apprenticeship programs to attract a diverse and talented workforce.
  • Attend job fairs and networking events to promote the company brand and identify new talent pools.
  • Conduct ongoing research to stay informed about trends in apprenticeships, training programs, and industry-specific recruitment practices.
  • Collaborate with management to identify personnel gaps and anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Assist in creating and updating job descriptions that accurately reflect role responsibilities and qualifications.
  • Continuously refine recruitment and retention strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR coordination, with a focus on technical and executive roles.
  • Strong understanding of the hiring process, employment laws, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical trades, including recruiting for engineering, project management, and leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and assess candidates at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working in a multiple-entity and international environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical recruiting for roles such as Foreman, Engineers, Project Managers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for job fairs and networking events.
