About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Mastronardi Produce is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the entire recruitment process within the organization, with a particular emphasis on hourly positions and agency conversions. This position is essential in ensuring that the company attracts and hires the best talent available. The specialist will utilize a combination of traditional sourcing strategies and innovative recruiting techniques to build a strong candidate pool. The role requires a proactive approach to recruitment, focusing on both active and passive candidates, and involves a significant amount of collaboration with hiring managers and HR business partners to align recruitment efforts with the company's workforce planning strategies. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly warehouse positions. This includes handling requisitions in the applicant tracking system, sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, extending job offers, and assisting with background checks. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining data integrity within the applicant tracking system, ensuring that all requisition and applicant statuses are accurately recorded. Regular follow-ups with hiring managers will be necessary to assess the effectiveness of the recruiting plan and to make adjustments as needed. Additionally, the specialist will be tasked with researching and recommending new sources for attracting candidates, which may involve posting job openings on various platforms and engaging with professional organizations. A key responsibility will be to create and maintain a process for converting agency employees into full-time Mastronardi employees. The specialist will also provide regular staffing reports to management on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring that the recruitment process is transparent and data-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly warehouse positions.
  • Handle requisitions in the applicant tracking system.
  • Source and screen candidates for open positions.
  • Schedule interviews and extend job offers to selected candidates.
  • Assist with background check screening and tracking.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with hiring managers regarding recruitment effectiveness.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to identify hiring needs.
  • Maintain data integrity within the applicant tracking system.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates.
  • Create and maintain a process for converting agency employees to full-time employees.
  • Provide regular staffing reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum two years of previous recruiting experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques including Boolean queries.
  • Strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of UltiPro is a plus.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems is required.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills for attracting candidates.
