About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Suburban Automotive Services is responsible for managing the full recruitment process for various positions within the company. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, conducting interviews, and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new hires. The specialist will also engage in special projects and maintain compliance with HR regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a requisition load of 10-25 openings.
  • Phone screen applications and resumes by analyzing candidate work history, competency levels, and other qualifications.
  • Create, post, maintain, and update job postings.
  • Track, log, and update recruiting activity on spreadsheets.
  • Provide candidates and employees information about policies, job duties, and working conditions.
  • Fill high volume openings, as well as technical, niche roles.
  • Ensure new hires have a positive onboarding experience from offer to orientation.
  • Complete the candidate background check process.
  • Ensure I-9 compliance by verifying appropriate documentation for all new hires.
  • Prepare offers and assist in compensation negotiations.
  • Identify creative sourcing techniques to target the right candidates.
  • Build and foster positive working relationships with candidates, colleagues, and hiring managers.
  • Administer/support HR department projects and programs as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR-related matters and information.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and HR laws.
  • Attend HR meetings.
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with the HR Director.
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service's DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Requirements

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter and reliable team player.
  • 1-year customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
