About the position

PJW Restaurant Group is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Westmont, NJ. This role is pivotal in recruiting new management hires to fill vacancies across our restaurant locations. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of People, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate closely with Operations leadership and Restaurant Management to strategize staffing needs, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent in the restaurant industry. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including posting job requisitions, screening candidates, and supporting new store openings. This position requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates through various channels, including job boards and social media, while also maintaining a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. The Specialist will also handle the processing of new hire documentation, partner with payroll for proper setup of new hire information, and conduct exit interviews to gather insights for continuous improvement. In addition to recruitment, the Specialist will analyze employment data, conduct surveys for newly hired management, and provide ongoing support with HRIS maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring that our recruitment strategies align with the operational needs of the business, and it plays a critical part in shaping the future of our workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR & Operations Leadership to develop recruitment strategies and action plans.
  • Liaise with Restaurant Managers to understand job specifications and support recruitment needs by posting job requisitions.
  • Build pipelines of restaurant management candidates by sourcing job board databases and using creative sourcing methods.
  • Review resumes and conduct initial interviews via Zoom.
  • Guide management candidate flow through the interview process and deliver a positive candidate experience.
  • Process all new manager documentation such as offer letters and background checks.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure proper setup of new hire information.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the employee referral program.
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day newly hired management surveys and analyze data for process adjustments.
  • Lead employee recruitment and onboarding process for new store openings.
  • Provide ongoing support with HRIS maintenance and administration of employee data.
  • Conduct exit interviews with managers and compile data to identify trends.

Requirements

  • College degree in applicable major.
  • At least 3 years of experience in full cycle recruiting of salaried positions.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with recruiting/HR technology such as ATS, HRIS, and onboarding processes.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Restaurant industry experience preferred, but not required.
