About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Werfen is responsible for leading early talent recruitment programs, including internships, co-ops, and rotational programs. This role involves coordinating events for the Summer Intern Program, collaborating with hiring managers to source and select talent across various departments, and enhancing the company's image in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead college recruitment initiatives, establishing partnerships with universities and attending on-campus events.
  • Oversee the recruitment process from opening a requisition to hire, ensuring effective processes within the HR group.
  • Drive excellence in hiring by interviewing candidates and conducting debrief meetings for feedback.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to develop competitive job offers.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with candidates, external contacts, and vendors to enhance Werfen's image.
  • Maintain knowledge of the business and market demographics to effectively market opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the recruiting process to eliminate waste and improve results.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Applicant Tracking System, providing training as needed.
  • Report on hiring metrics, including cost per hire and related analyses.
  • Participate in Affirmative Action Plan activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience with university relations and recruitment is a plus.
  • Experience in full-cycle corporate recruiting, preferably in a technical/biotech/medical device environment.
  • Ability to lead and influence others through the recruiting process.
  • Knowledge of behavioral-based interviewing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Proven track record of hiring top talent while meeting time and cost per hire goals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
