About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at BCH Mechanical will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's recruitment strategies and processes. This position is designed for a proactive individual who will support the HR team in attracting and selecting top talent through innovative methods. The specialist will be responsible for managing the full cycle of recruitment, from crafting job descriptions to conducting interviews and building relationships with potential candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement company talent acquisition strategy
  • Craft and update job descriptions
  • Organize employee referral process, including managing bonus requests
  • Develop company's policy for talent benchmarking, assessment, and interviewing
  • Conduct sourcing activities to fill open positions
  • Perform analysis of organizational development and anticipate future employment needs
  • Design and manage recruitment and selection processes (resume screening, screening calls, interviews, etc.)
  • Serve as brand ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus recruiting events
  • Represent the company at events to network and build relationships with potential candidates
  • Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates
  • Manage candidate pools to ensure engagement of qualified candidates
  • Generate monthly updates for leadership about talent acquisition initiatives
  • Communicate regularly with HR to align on hiring needs and organizational goals
  • Proactively seek market intelligence for competitive advantage in sourcing methodologies
  • Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities
  • Research talent acquisition trends in the construction industry

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of recruiting experience
  • In-depth knowledge of candidate selection methods
  • Excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment processes
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impactful presentation style
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
  • Positive, 'can do' attitude

Nice-to-haves

  • Construction recruiting experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous working experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter
