About the position

ForTec Medical is seeking a high-performing Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in sourcing and screening candidates who align with the company's current and future goals. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, collaborating closely with hiring managers to refine job requisitions, confirm search criteria, and develop effective recruiting strategies. The position involves writing and posting job advertisements to attract the right candidates, managing job postings on external job boards, and maximizing recruiting efficiencies through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). In this role, you will conduct phone interviews with qualified candidates and present them to hiring managers, scheduling interviews and providing guidance throughout the hiring process. You will also be tasked with developing creative sourcing strategies to enhance the talent selection pool, support diverse recruiting efforts, and ensure the company is well-positioned to meet its staffing needs. Building a sourcing network through industry contacts, professional associations, technical groups, colleges, and social networking sites will be essential. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will complete the necessary steps in the hiring process to prepare new hires for onboarding, communicate with various departments to ensure all action items are completed before the new hire's first day, and draft and communicate job offers. Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on sourcing and recruiting data will help identify successes and opportunities for improvement in future recruiting strategies. Staying current on state and federal employment laws related to hiring and maintaining a collaborative working atmosphere are also key responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers in the recruiting and interview processes; complete job requisitions, confirm job search criteria, and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Write and post jobs to engage applicants' interests in open positions focusing on targeting the right audience.
  • Manage job postings on external job boards ensuring all postings are up to date.
  • Maximize recruiting efficiencies and workflows through the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Source and conduct phone interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers, schedule hiring manager interviews, partner on hiring details, and offer guidance.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to increase the talent selection pool, support diverse recruiting efforts, and position the Company to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Build a sourcing network through industry contacts, professional associations, technical groups, colleges, search firms, and social and professional networking sites.
  • Complete steps in the hiring process to prepare new hires with the Company's onboarding process.
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure necessary action items are complete before the new hire's first day of employment.
  • Draft and communicate candidate job offers; communicate pending offer status to keep the hiring team informed.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sourcing and recruiting data to determine successes and opportunities, and make recommendations for future recruiting strategies.
  • Keep current on state and federal employment laws related to pre-employment hiring and staffing.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees, customers, and vendors to foster and promote a collaborative working atmosphere.
  • Project and represent a favorable image of the company at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of sourcing and interviewing experience.
  • Experience in a customer-focused organization preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer proficiency required with strong Outlook, Excel, and Word skills.
  • General understanding of federal and state employment laws and practices.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems a plus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service aptitude.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage change or unexpected events maturely and professionally.
