About the position

Olgoonik is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Anchorage, AK, or Fairfax, VA. This is a temporary position with a hybrid work schedule, supporting recruitment activities for various project and department positions across the central, west, and east coasts, as well as overseas. The role involves collaboration with HR regional teams to ensure effective recruitment strategies are implemented. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing both active and passive candidates, engaging with them to connect them to current job opportunities, and executing recruitment strategies that yield a diverse slate of candidates. This position is integral to maintaining the quality of our workforce and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, including AAP, OFCCP, and EEO. The Specialist will also develop job descriptions, maintain company job descriptions in collaboration with managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and respond to candidate inquiries throughout the recruitment and employment offer processes. Additionally, the role includes marketing open positions through various platforms, developing extensive candidate pipelines, and supporting HRBPs in organizing team-building events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting, particularly in technology or security fields, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sources passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches and research.
  • Sources active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals.
  • Engages with active and passive talent and connects them to current job opportunities, executing recruitment strategies that produce a diverse slate of candidates.
  • Markets open positions via the company's career page, job boards, and social media platforms as needed to fill vacancies.
  • Develops extensive pipeline candidate pools to fill current and potential needs.
  • Responds to candidate inquiries and communicates with candidates/new hires throughout recruitment and employment offer processes.
  • Develops job descriptions with FLSA analysis and maintains company job descriptions in collaboration with managers and HRBPs.
  • Collaborates with HRBPs to ensure the recruiting function is compliant with all applicable regulations: AAP, OFCCP, EEO, etc.
  • Collaborates with HR team members in execution of talent acquisition strategies, and provides backup for other HR staff members.
  • Supports the HRBP/Supervisor in organizing team-building events for the Fairfax office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • 3 years of recruiting experience.
  • 1 year of experience sourcing/recruiting cleared openings (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience recruiting personnel in technology or security fields is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in recruiting for Warehouse & Logistics, Commercial Construction, Environmental & Engineering, and Security Technicians positions with federal government contracting experience.
