About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Temple University is responsible for actively recruiting qualified candidates for various employment openings across the institution. This role involves managing the recruitment process, consulting with hiring departments, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The specialist will also cultivate recruitment sources and maintain effective recruitment procedures while keeping management informed about recruitment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit qualified candidates for all levels of employment openings.
  • Prepare internal postings and external advertising for job vacancies.
  • Consult with hiring department officials on recruitment strategies.
  • Contact and interview applicants from internal and external sources.
  • Validate candidate credentials and finalize job offers.
  • Establish and cultivate recruitment sources to maintain effective recruitment procedures.
  • Keep management informed on the status of recruitment activities.
  • Network with other recruitment personnel to refer qualified candidates to openings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • At least three years of related experience in recruitment.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and negotiating salary offers.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment requisitions independently.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions.
