About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Tri-M Group is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for the organization. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers to understand their specific needs, crafting job descriptions, and managing the recruitment cycle from sourcing to onboarding. The specialist will also focus on creating a positive candidate experience while promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
  • Supports recruitment and hiring strategies across all business units.
  • Conducts monthly meetings with hiring managers to support and maintain workforce needs.
  • Develops and updates job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Identifies EEO categories, FLSA status, and appropriate compensation range.
  • Negotiates offers and manages the full hiring process of employees.
  • Regularly updates the HRIS and maintains accurate records of all candidate interactions.
  • Provides periodic status updates on all candidates.
  • Utilizes innovative recruiting methods to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Organizes and attends job fairs, recruitment events, and other talent outreach programs.
  • Identifies and tracks recruitment metrics and provides reports to management.
  • Facilitates cross-department collaboration to ensure alignment of hiring processes.
  • Manages timely completion of pre-hire processes in accordance with pre-employment screenings.
  • Oversees the new hire orientation process and refines the orientation program.
  • Conducts new employee orientation on personnel policies and procedures.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with educational institutions for qualified applicants.
  • Collaborates with marketing to develop recruitment marketing strategies.
  • Promotes the organization's employer brand through social media and professional networks.
  • Collaborates with team members to improve recruitment processes.
  • Ensures timely completion of the annual affirmative action plan.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring applicable HR federal and state requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent years' experience.
  • Minimum three years' work experience in human resources or related field.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Experience using HR software or applicant tracking database required.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting and various interview techniques.
  • Experience in negotiating offers and understanding compensation structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Intermediate level computer literacy including word processing and database management.
  • Ability to travel locally and overnight as needed.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • General knowledge of the construction business desirable but not required.
