About the position

The company is rapidly growing and needs a driven Talent Acquisition (TA) professional who can bring strong organizational skills, proven selection and sourcing ability, and a passion for creating enduring company cultures in the Skilled Trades industry. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will help optimize current practices, track and impact key TA metrics, and ensure the adoption of new recruiting tools with managers and HR partners. This role will be based as a hybrid in Kansas City, KS, with occasional travel (15%) to other business locations and partner business sites. As a key talent acquisition role, you will continuously execute strategies and tactics to autonomously drive attraction, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of a world-class workforce in the skilled trades, specifically technicians and management in Kansas and Iowa. You will also work with trade leaders to develop their ability to select and retain great people, and increase brand awareness as an “Employer of Choice” in the market through marketing and community involvement, opening new talent pools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead all sourcing for Technician hires
  • Establish and upgrade recruiting and hiring practices
  • Build a system capable of hiring hundreds annually
  • Track and competitively impact people and business numbers
  • Assist in developing forecasts for all roles
  • Analyze and impact monthly and annual reporting by market and trade
  • Establish diversity recruiting program focused on outcomes
  • Assist in building a culture of performance accountability
  • Help implement scalable Talent Technology
  • Ensure adoption and regular use of our ATS and other recruiting tools
  • Bi-monthly refresh of job ads across all mediums: SEO; continual testing of job ads
  • Apply technology to automate and bring efficiencies to the end-to-end recruiting process
  • Contribute toward being an 'Employer of Choice' working on various people projects
  • Assist with talent collateral creation, branding, social postings and/or content
  • Contribute feedback on employer brand as a system and in market specifics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 2-4 years of prior high-volume recruiting experience
  • Highly motivated by personal performance targets, intensely driven to exceed goals
  • Capable of analyzing workflow metrics and presenting actionable recommendations
  • Strong ability to communicate and differentiate our employers from others; respects the trades
  • Intensely hands-on & scrappy, but able to see the strategic vision of quintupling our business and being best in the industry
  • Excellent & disciplined time management and organizational skills capable of managing quickly shifting priorities
