The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for overseeing the full life-cycle recruiting process and enhancing employee engagement within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing recruiting strategies, promoting inclusion and diversity, and supporting various human resources functions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates with hiring managers to optimize the recruitment process and foster a positive work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive recruiting plans, including organizational recruiting strategies and processes. The specialist will build recruitment processes with a focus on inclusion and diversity and participate in the Inclusion and Diversity workgroup supporting the organization's Diversity Pillar. This includes building applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations and maintaining rapport. The role also involves coordinating the new hire and employee orientation program to foster a positive attitude towards the organization's goals and mission, as well as managing the new hire mentor program and the internship program process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will conduct onboarding meetings with new hires and present results of success and opportunities, as well as conduct all exit interviews and compile semi-annual reports to present to the leadership team. To be successful in this position, the specialist must handle multiple tasks concurrently while effectively managing time and maintaining organization, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work well within a team and independently. The role requires the ability to take initiative, train and motivate staff, maintain confidentiality, and use ATS, CRM, and/or HRIS databases, along with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full life-cycle recruiting process.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting plans.
  • Build recruitment processes focusing on inclusion and diversity.
  • Participate in the Inclusion and Diversity workgroup.
  • Research and contact community services, colleges, employment agencies, and media for applicant sources.
  • Coordinate the new hire and employee orientation program.
  • Manage the new hire mentor program.
  • Oversee the internship program process with colleges/universities.
  • Conduct onboarding meetings with new hires and present results.
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile semi-annual reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Under 1 year of experience in customer service or recruiting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Experience using ATS, CRM, and/or HRIS databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • A minimum of two years of recruiting experience preferred.
  • PHRca/SPHR certification is a plus.
