The Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) operates a shared services model, providing the executive branch of state government with top-notch Human Resources services. INSPD has a dedicated team of human resources professionals working in many capacities, including director-level, generalists, and specialists in each discipline of human resources. Joining our team will open the door to many opportunities for lateral and upward mobility. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will provide HR support to the Department of Child Services (DCS) hiring managers relative to the Family Case Manager candidate interview and selection process. Your role will involve building and maintaining effective working relationships with the State Personnel Department Talent Acquisition, Field HR, DCS Local Office Directors, and DCS Hiring Managers. You will consult with the SPD Talent Acquisition team and DCS Local Office hiring teams to understand the roles to be filled and the profile of ideal candidates. Your responsibilities will include screening Family Case Manager applications for DCS offices, reviewing applicants for education, experience, training, and other position-specific requirements, and conducting pre-screens with viable candidates. Utilizing the applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors), you will ensure timely and appropriate candidate communication and navigation through the interview and hiring process. You will partner with local office teams to ensure a seamless handoff from screening to the interview phase of the process and assist with sourcing, candidate communication, and scheduling of interviews. Additional duties may include monitoring the DCS recruiting inbox emails and collaborating with the SPD Talent Acquisition team about potential career fairs and events to attend. This position is designed to be dynamic, and other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SPD Talent Acquisition team about potential career fairs and events to attend.
