About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at LENSAR, Inc. is responsible for sourcing and recruiting candidates for various positions within the company. This role involves collaborating with department leaders and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, managing the recruitment process from job requisition to candidate selection, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout. The specialist will also conduct interviews, coordinate new hire orientations, and assist with HR projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to confirm staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Develop and update job descriptions in partnership with the hiring manager.
  • Create job ads from job descriptions to post on recruiting platforms and job boards.
  • Manage job requisitions from beginning to end and ensure vacant positions are successfully filled.
  • Ensure timely communications and a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Proactively source potential applicants using various channels and methods.
  • Work with outside recruitment agencies on selected positions, when appropriate.
  • Review resumes and screen candidates against job requirements.
  • Forward qualified applications to the appropriate hiring manager for review and feedback.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with selected candidates.
  • Conduct interviews when requested and solicit feedback from interviewers.
  • Prepare and send offer communications with appropriate approvals.
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings including reference and background checks for selected candidates.
  • Stay up-to-date with recruitment best practices and legal requirements.
  • Schedule and assist with new hire orientation and preparation of new hire paperwork.
  • Assist with Human Resources projects, initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in direct talent sourcing and recruitment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to collaborate and build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Critical thinking skills, superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience recruiting in the medical device or life sciences space.
  • Experience recruiting for specialized technical roles.
