Menno Haven is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and selecting exceptional candidates who align with our values and mission. You will play a crucial role in managing the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring a positive candidate experience and maintaining strong relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and the community. Your responsibilities will include developing creative recruitment strategies that uphold our employer brand, sourcing candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, and networking events, and representing Menno Haven at recruitment events and career fairs. You will also be tasked with assessing and optimizing recruitment processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency. Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment will be essential to your success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage competing priorities and timelines, ensuring the recruitment process flows smoothly and meets the needs of the candidates, the hiring teams and the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, team members, hiring teams, and members of the community.
  • Develop creative recruitment strategies while upholding our employer brand.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
  • Represent Menno Haven at recruitment events, career fairs, and other external opportunities.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the recruitment process, actively seeking candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assess and optimize recruitment processes to drive continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the HRIS, ATS and other applicable systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role with a strong understanding of recruitment processes and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable representing Menno Haven at recruiting events and establishing connections within the industry and local community.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the workplace and the ability to integrate these values into the recruitment process.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to hold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and positive attitude while contributing to a collaborative atmosphere and demonstrating a commitment to Menno Haven's mission.
