About the position

The Talent Acquisition Associate at the Minnesota Historical Society plays a crucial role in developing a talent pipeline by attracting and hiring qualified candidates. This full-time position involves leveraging technology, community outreach, and marketing to enhance recruitment efforts, supporting hiring managers in defining and advertising open positions, and screening potential new hires. The role is integral to the Talent Team and collaborates closely with the People and Culture Team to meet the organization's staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support MNHS' recruitment and hiring needs.
  • Create, evaluate, and revise recruitment strategies to develop a talent pool.
  • Administer the recruitment screening and selection process.
  • Provide training and coaching on effective interviewing and selection processes.
  • Participate in professional organizations and professional development as requested.
  • Develop positive working relationships with both internal and external constituents to provide excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with the People and Culture team to support department goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in a human resources department or equivalent, supporting or performing recruitment efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability with recruitment platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, and recruitment applications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a demonstrated results orientation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a non-profit or public sector human resources environment.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential.
  • ADP experience.
