About the position

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Dealer Tire, you will play a crucial role in our recruitment efforts, focusing on sourcing, interviewing, and delivering top talent for various positions within the company. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire recruitment process, from initial sourcing and candidate engagement to offer negotiations and onboarding. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop effective recruiting strategies that align with our organizational goals. Building strong relationships with hiring managers is essential, as you will need to exhibit a high level of responsiveness and provide guidance throughout the hiring process. In this role, you will be responsible for managing candidate referrals, ensuring that both the referrer and referee are kept informed throughout the recruitment journey. You will establish and maintain recruiting sources through various channels, including social media, cold calling, and partnerships with search firms. Additionally, you will identify competitive threats and trends in the labor market, providing valuable insights to your manager. Your performance will be measured by your ability to meet hiring expectations, client satisfaction results, and candidate experience feedback. You will also participate in college recruiting events and job fairs, utilizing your networking skills to attract potential candidates. Your expertise in utilizing applicant tracking systems will be vital in managing the hiring process efficiently. Furthermore, you will assist in developing and executing recruiting initiatives, such as college relations programs and referral bonuses, to enhance our talent acquisition efforts. Understanding employment laws and company policies will be essential as you navigate the recruitment landscape and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, interviewing, testing, and delivering applicants for administrative, management, and technical positions.
  • Managing the candidate through the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, communications, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
  • Building relationships with hiring managers and providing high-level responsiveness.
  • Managing assigned associate referrals and ensuring communication throughout the process.
  • Establishing recruiting sources through the internet, social media, cold calling, and search firms.
  • Managing search firms and temporary help services.
  • Identifying competitive threats, trends, and issues and escalating them to management.
  • Meeting established deadlines for filling required positions and evaluating the quality of recruits.
  • Participating in college recruiting events and job fairs.
  • Utilizing applicant tracking systems to track and manage the hiring process.
  • Managing internal and external job postings and attending networking events.
  • Managing the compensation negotiation process for each position in coordination with management.
  • Assisting with developing and executing recruiting sources such as college relations programs and referral bonuses.
  • Conducting research and sourcing activities on special recruiting projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (2-3 years) in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a team player and thrive in an innovative and demanding environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
