About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Oasis Petroleum will play a crucial role in supporting the recruiting and staffing needs of Chord Energy. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, facilitating employee onboarding and development, and acting as a key contact for designated managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting, excellent relationship-building skills, and a commitment to promoting the company's culture and values. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with remote work options on certain days.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
  • Establish recurring meetings with leaders to stay informed about departmental operations and workforce status.
  • Serve as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers, addressing concerns and facilitating progress.
  • Understand the company's operations and strategic drivers to meet departmental objectives.
  • Participate in or lead special projects related to HR initiatives as required by the company's growth.
  • Work with HR team and managers to identify retention strategies and improve employee engagement.
  • Advise and train hiring managers and employees on company policies and compliance requirements regarding recruiting and talent management.
  • Develop strong relationships within the HR team, operations management, and external vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Promote company events, culture, and values to stay connected with staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition position.
  • Experience using an HRIS/Applicant Management system.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures including federal laws regarding employment practices.
  • Understanding of market conditions, job competencies, sourcing strategies, and candidate assessment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with good judgment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Experience using Workday.

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP designation.
