About the position

Adient Aerospace is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team in Santa Maria, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all positions are filled promptly with qualified candidates who align with the company's mission. The specialist will collaborate with hiring managers, support recruiting efforts, and assist in onboarding and learning initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with management on talent planning and post open positions in the ATS.
  • Evaluate and disposition candidates through screening and interviews.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with HR Leaders on compensation offerings.
  • Leverage online recruiting resources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Source external resume databases for diverse candidates.
  • Participate in recruiting events to evaluate applicants.
  • Support college recruiting plans and internship programs.
  • Build relationships with university personnel and career centers.
  • Develop and manage the internal employee referral program.
  • Support short and long-term recruiting strategies through headcount planning activities.
  • Conduct research on recruitment standards and monitor new trends.
  • Assist the HR Department with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate the delivery of learning and development services.
  • Assign training to new hires and existing employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • 1+ years of recruiting experience preferred.
  • Ability to scan and identify talent/skills from resumes.
  • Good understanding of HR tools such as ATS Clear Company and HRIS ADP Workforce Now.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient with PC office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR/SPHR Certification or SHRM-CP/SHRM SCP Certification preferred.
